How to assemble it?
- Please assemble the hat board according to following figure:
Package Includes
- 1 x 52Pi NVDAC board
- 1 x PC104 pin header
- 1 x M.2 2230 fixing copper pillar
- 2 x Black M2.0 fixing screw for SSD drive
- 1 x PCIe FFC cable (40mm length)
- 4 x M2.5 Copper pillar
- 4 x M2.5 Screw
- 4 x M2.5 nuts
How to enable DAC
- HiFi DAC has two line out connector. A double phono/RCA connector, normally red and white in colour, and a 3.5mm Line out Socket.
This output is a variable analogue signal (0-2V RMS) and can connect to your existing hi-fi (pre-amp or amplifier), or can be used to drive active speakers which have their own amplifier built in.
Phono (RCA)
- White:LEFT audio
- Red:RIGHT audio
How to enable DAC on Raspberry Pi 5?
- On Raspberry Pi 4B
Adding following part in /boot/config.txt file or /boot/firmware/config.txt file in latest OS and reboot Raspberry Pi.
dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus
- On Raspberry Pi 5
Modify /boot/config.txt file or /boot/firmware/config.txt file in latest OS. If you need to support Raspberry Pi 5, you need to add the additional dtoverlay parameter as follows:
dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus,slave
and save it, reboot Raspberry Pi 5.
